Internationalization: NAO expands to Austria

The Berlin-based FinTech NAO is now also allowing Austrian private investors to invest in alternative investments such as private equity, infrastructure and hedge funds.
Berlin, August 08, 2024 — The Berlin-based investment fintech NAO (https://www.investnao.com) is expanding into Austria. After the successful Start in Germany In summer 2023, NAO will now also give Austrian private investors access to exclusive investment opportunities starting at 1,000 euros.
Invest like institutional investors

Private investors from Austria can now register via the NAO app and invest in a variety of asset classes that are very popular with institutional investors — including private equity, hedge funds, Infrastructure investments and Equity bonds. Thanks to NAO's unique co-investment approach, this is possible from a minimum investment of 1,000 euros. NAO thus significantly lowers the barriers to entry and gives a wider public access to investment opportunities that were previously only available to wealthy and institutional investors.
Long-term investment and retirement planning are the main motives for investment
According to the Austrian Banking Association Savings accounts and building loan contracts are Austrians' preferred forms of investment. Loud 2024 Equity Barometer 27 percent of Austrians own stocks, bonds or investment funds. A further 21 percent are interested. The main reasons for investments are the desire to build up and retain value over the long term.
